Membership in the ALA is open to all legal management professionals. The association’s members are administrators who manage such areas as finance, human resources, facilities, technology, marketing and practice development in private law offices, corporate legal departments, and government legal agencies. ALA's mission is to improve the quality of management in legal services organizations and to promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team.
According to ALA bylaws, members of the local chapter (RALA) MUST also join the international organization. You may join ALA only (without joining the local chapter); however, most people state their biggest benefit comes at the local chapter level.
Prospective members are invited to attend one of our local Chapter Meetings as a guest prior to joining. We only ask that you contact one of the Chapter Board Members at least three days prior to our scheduled luncheon so that we can add you to the guest list.
